Jess and Katrina approach us with their heritage listed 1916 Cottage. With have being a part of 5 identical cottages for so long I look forward to making this beauty its own.
This concept was developed and drawn from the late Tim Russell, with a raked gable ceiling in an open plan living with southern and northern natural light. I was like a kid in a candy store keen to execute this project.
With common driveways, the logistics of building this was a challenge but with patience from neighbours and client we were able to succeed.
We have added Living and Kitchen, 1 main bathroom, a multipurpose bathroom/laundry restored the main hallway and bedroom and activated the backyard. Details include Raked Ceilings, Polish Concrete, High Windows, louvre windows, mixed building materials with red brick and lightweight cladding.
Jess and Katrina were a pleasure to work for, the space they gave us to do our thing and the engagement during the build meant that we had a constant dialogue from start to finish. Katrina sense of humour made our site meeting always enjoyable.
My highlight on this project was the platinum vanilla polish concrete with black aluminium doors
